The Soon Studios team aims to create a new Halo experience as a tribute to the series through a blend of elements from classic Halo games. All of their assets are created from scratch and the development happens in accordance with Microsoft's Game Content Usage Rules.
My primary contributions to the team involved 2D art assets, animations for 2D assets, and heads-up display UI elements.
A collection of logos for corporations within the Halo universe. These were based on existing designs and some feature slight design modifications.
Medals awarded and displayed to users on their HUD for completing specific actions.
Created to display and represent overall player progression in-game. Solid color vector versions were also designed for display within small areas of the UI.
One of many HUD concepts created. These display all critical information to a player in-game such as health, shields, grenades, ammo, radar, score, and time remaining.
A reimagining of the branding for the City of New Mombasa; a location within the game in which a multiplayer map is based.
Animated billboards created to showcase in-universe advertisements. These displays would be used for environment design within cities.
Mockup of how billboards could also be used to display alert and failure screen variants, depending on the needs of the environment artist.
Commercial shipping signage created for the multiplayer map Factory. Photos of the final map can be viewed here.
